Durban Beachfront
Durban is South Africa’s most popular holiday spot and it’s easy to see why. It has miles of soft sand, fantastic swimming beaches, great surfing and warm weather all year round. In terms of accommodation, there’s everything from bed & breakfasts to world-class hotels, and we guarantee you’ll never run out of fun things to do.

We call it Durbs or Surf City or “eThekwini” (which means “sea” in Zulu), and that suggests what life is like here – one long holiday.

Even in winter there’s a lot to experience with snowcapped mountains, top game reserves, country meanders and loads of other fantastic attractions nearby. Durban also offers excellent urban vibes including a mix of design, art, music and food – peppered with fascinating cultural influences.

The preliminary draw for the 2010 FIFA World Cup will take place in Durban on 23 November 2007, to select the qualifying groups and ties for all six confederations. Look out for TV coverage to get your first taste of Durban.
