The Mother City is one of the most popular destinations on the planet… and for good reason. Enjoy Cape Town’s funky lifestyles for a day or two and then head off to the Winelands, the Garden Route, the beautiful West Coast or the great Karoo. Go shark diving, learn to ride an ostrich and feast on some of the best food and wine this country has to offer...what are you waiting for?

Catch an overdose of sunshine in this laid-back city and then make your way to the Battlefields for a touch of history, the Drakensberg Mountains for the best of adventure tourism or take in a turtle safari at the famous *Greater St Lucia Wetlands Park. Don’t forget to make time to visit the fantastic game reserves in KwaZulu-Natal, in particular Imfolozi/Hluhluwe.

*As from 1 November 2007 the Greater St Lucia Wetlands Park will be known as iSimangaliso Wetland Park.



Johannesburg

The City of Gold, the financial epicenter of South Africa – in Johannesburg (or Jozi) the energy and excitement goes on 24/7! When you’ve had your fill of townships, restaurants and hip and happening hangouts, then head to the countryside for adventure, history, nature and a whole heap of fun.

Gateway to the fun and fabulous Mpumalanga Lowveld - Nelspruit and its surrounding areas offer up a wealth of treasures for those who love the great outdoors. Perhaps one of the most scenic regions in the country, it is home to the Panorama Route and the famed old diggers’ town - Pilgrim’s Rest. Don’t forget that the area embraces the world-renowned Kruger National Park, home to the Big Five.

After you’re done exploring PE’s fantastic beaches, head off to the Addo Elephant Park to see the “Big Seven”, take a trip down the coastline to SA’s surfing capital Jeffrey’s Bay or load up on arts & culture in the student town of Grahamstown. Don’t forget the Garden Route is not too far away…

We’ve selected some fantastic itinerary options that include awesome wildlife opportunities, a few country meanders, a number of cultural wonders…and perhaps a first time visit to a bona fide township shebeen (local drinking spot).

While Rustenburg is a laid-back city, there is so much to do in the surrounding areas: have your first taste of mampoer (our version of “moonshine”) in Groot Marico, enjoy a hot-air balloon ride over the Magaliesburg Mountain range, take part in watersports on Harties (Hartbeespoort Dam) and live it up at Sun City – the Las Vegas of Africa.
