Welcome to the home of adventure sports. Because of South Africa’s all-year-round sunny weather most people can participate in adventure activities throughout the year.
There are adventure sports for daredevils and there are many others for those that are still young at heart. Abseilling, bungee jumping, hand gliding, paragliding, mountain biking and many others are all here all year round.
| South Africa is not well-endowed with snow, but we make up for it with some excellent sand dunes, and a great outdoor sport called ‘Sandboarding’.

| | | With all-year great weather, spectacular outdoor scenery and a diverse variety of habitats, South Africa is a perfect playground for quad biking enthusiasts. There are over 60 different trails to experience, and a good selection of these also offer quad bikes for hire along with crash helmets. In South Africa you can ride in wildlife reserves, through the winelands, along the coast, up mountains and past waterfalls – the possibilities are almost endless, with enticing trails in every province.

| Seeing a Great White for the first time is nothing like the movies. There is no sudden burst of foreboding music, no triangular fin cutting ominously through the water, just the crying of gulls, the braying of seals and the slapping of waves against the hull.

| | | You’re not likely to come to South Africa for the snow. We’re a sun-blessed land and we don't get much snow at all, but what snow we do have, we make good use of.

|
| | | It's official - South Africa is home to the highest commercial bungee jump in the world.

|
| | | While there’s some debate on a definition of the sport of canyoning (kloofing in SA), most kloofers agree that the highlight of the activity involves plunging from a steep cliff into a deep watercourse or river. How you get to the bottom involves all types of adventure… or as some would put it, all types of insanity.

| | | For some people, the only reason they would skydive is because it features on the list of things to do before they die. For others it is that rush of adrenaline, bragging rights amongst friends or the feeling of being on top of the world. Whatever your excuse, South Africa’s stunning scenery and blue skies makes it the ideal place to freefall with a smile on your face.

| | | If you’re most at home in a boat, our fantastic rivers will ensure that you’ll be spoiled for choice.

|
| | | South Africa is fantastic gliding country. The hot, sunny, Highveld produces great thermals in summer and the escarpment and Cape Mountains produce excellent gliding opportunities (usually, but not exclusively, in winter).

| | | Known as the Garden of the Garden Route, Tsitsikamma is wedged between the Tsitsikamma Mountains and the sea. Extending all the way from the Bloukrans River in the west to Clarkson in the east, it features high mountains, deep gorges, cascades and stately forests, which makes it the ultimate adventure sports destination.
