Cape Peninsula – The Cape Peninsula stretches from the Cape Town's City Centre to Cape Point and is flanked by the cold Atlantic on the west coast and the warmer waters of False Bay on the east coast. Throughout history the Cape Peninsula has been known by many different names. Way back in 1850 Sir Francis Drake named it "The Fairest Cape", the Portuguese mariners named it the "Cape of Storms", it was also known as "The Cape of Good Hope", "The Tavern of the Seas" or simply "The Cape".  Whatever you call it, the peninsula offers some of the greatest tourist attractions in the world. West Coast – The West Coast is a region of contrast and beauty. Stretching over 400km from south to north, the region and its people offer the visitor a surprising variety of travel experiences and destinations. Overberg – This untouched haven of mountains, ocean, rivers and spectacular nature is revered by visitors as a perfect holiday destination. This most  southerly region of Africa is only one hour east of Cape Town. The Overberg - a name translated, means 'the other side of the mountain'.
